Urinary health concerns in adult dogs can be supported by a nutritionally balanced and specifically tailored diet. ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie dog food is formulated for adult dogs with bladder or urinary tract issues. 

ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie urinary dog food is suitable for dogs with: 
-    Struvite uroliths: dissolution and management of recurrence.
-    Calcium oxalate uroliths: management of recurrence.
-    Bacterial cystitis: management of secondary struvite crystalluria (in association with adequate antibiotherapy).

Urine Dilution
o    The ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie formula helps to dilute your dog's urine, making it less likely for calcium oxalate stones and struvite stones to form in the first place.

Struvite Dissolution 
o    Struvite is a normal component of your dog's urine that can form crystals or stones if the urine is too concentrated. ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie helps to dissolve all types of struvite stones that may form in your dog's bladder.

Low RSS 
o    Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology is utilised for the development of ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O. RSS helps to lower the concentration of ion in your dog's urine, minimising the likelihood of bladder stones forming.

Moderate Calorie
o    To help your dog maintain an ideal weight, ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is formulated with a reduced calorie content. 

As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. To cater to each dog's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Canine Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is also available as wet food in a delicious gravy. If you're considering mixed feeding, simply follow our feeding guidelines to ensure your dog gets an accurate amount of both wet and dry food for optimal benefit. 

Please note: ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie is not suitable for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), heart disease (when sodium restriction is sought), concurrent use of urine-acidifying medication, growth, gestation, lactation.

Recommendations

It is recommended that advice from a veterinarian be sought before use and before extending the period of use. Feed URINARY S/O MODERATE CALORIE dry for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and initially up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The dog should be re-evaluated regularly by the veterinarian to assess the relevance of a lifelong recommendation. Water should be available at all times. In older dogs, renal function should be checked before recommending ROYAL CANIN® URINARY S/O MODERATE CALORIE.
